Meta Trak can be installed on all vehicle types, including hybrid and electric vehicles. Speak with your chosen installer if you have any questions about your specific motorhome model.
If a tracking solution is required by your insurance company, they will mandate whether you need a Category S5 (the highest level of protection) or a Category S7 tracking solution. If you are unsure, check with your insurance company.
If you have an insurance approved Meta Trak system installed you will receive a certificate of installation as part of your Welcome Email.
In many instances, having a Thatcham accredited tracking device installed will qualify you for a discount on your insurance premium. For example, Caravan Guard offer up to 25% off motorhome insurance and up to 15% off caravan insurance with a Thatcham accredited Meta Trak device fitted. Speak to your insurance provider to find out the details on your policy.
The Meta Trak tracking system will operate in the UK and EU (Exc. Switzerland).
Liaise with Meta Trak's Secure Operating Centre as usual, they will in turn liaise with local police abroad.
If you complete our solution finder you will be given a list of our approved dealers in your area.
Once you find an approved installer (which can be done by completing our solution finder), they will schedule a date to install a Meta Trak solution. This may take place at a garage, or at your own home or place of work. They will commission the product for you so that it’s up and running straight away. You will receive a Welcome Email telling you how to download the Meta Trak app and start tracking your motorhome or caravan. Don’t forgot to inform your insurance company if you opted for one of our insurance approved solutions.
You can keep the ID tags on your keyring. You should always have the ID tag with you when you start your motorhome or begin towing your caravan. If you don’t have the ID tag, this will be recognised as unauthorised movement and an alert will be sent to you and to the Secure Operating Centre.
To prevent unauthorised movement alerts when your motorhome is in the garage, you can either provide the garage with your ID tags, or you can enable Service Mode from the Meta Trak app.
If you purchase a new motorhome or caravan, contact your approved installer who will quote you to de-install the unit and re-install the unit in your new purchase. You will be able to carry and remaining time of your subscription period over to the new vehicle.
If you decide to leave the Meta Trak installed when you sell it, the new owner can contact us to take out a new subscription.
All driving data is your data and we do not pass it on to any other parties unless legally required to do so. Meta Trak meets the highest level of data security.
